Download the App
Download and install the TikTok application on your smartphone. It is available on both the Apple App store (for iOS users) and the Google Play store (for Android users).
After installation is over, open the app and signup on it if you are a first-time user. You can simply sign in to your account if you have used TikTok before.
How to Find Sounds
Once logged in, the home screen of the app will be visible to you. Tap on the camera icon placed at the bottom of the screen, and select “Sounds”. You’ll be able to see a search bar. You can enter the name of the artist or a song that you want to dub into your video.
TikTok hosts a collection of thousands of songs and soundtracks, and you can select the name of your desired song from the collection. Once selected, tap on the “Tick” icon next to the song.
Record Your Video
You’ll get to record your video for the song in the next step. On the screen displayed, keep the red button at the bottom pressed as you record your video for the song.
Now your dubbed video is almost ready, and all you have to do is to improve it and make it more impressive by adding effects and filters. In this step, tap on the “filters” option and choose your favorite theme to apply to the video.
Synchronize Your Sound
Next, tap on the “Cut” option. This will help you to synchronize the actual soundtrack with your voice acting. You can do this easily by dragging the graph provided below. Save the video at this stage by tapping on the checkmark icon provided.
Adjust Volume Accordingly
This step is very important. Here, you have to use the “volume” option to adjust audio tracked used from the app for your video, with the sound that was captured by your phone’s microphone at the time of shooting the video.
You can do it by turning the volume up or down. Save the video once again at this stage.
You can add some cool effects to your TikTok video by navigating the options available in the “effects” section. To save a proceed to the nest step, simply tap on the “Save” button provided on the upper right corner.
Tap on the “Text” option which lets you add text about your video. Options to change the formatting (font, colors, size, etc.) of the text are also available. Tap on “Done” to proceed.
You can also add stickers and emojis to your video by using the respective tab. There are plenty of options available for you to choose from.
You can even reposition your stickers/emojis simply by dragging them on the screen. Tap “Next” to proceed to the final step.
Set the caption of your video. Use hashtags in the caption to increase the reach of your video. You can also tag your friends in the caption. Once done, click on “Post” to make your dubbed TikTok video go live right away!
